Oxus Gold plc ("Oxus") is pleased to announce that gold production has commenced, on schedule, at the company's Amantaytau Oxides project in Uzbekistan. This production comes only nine months after the start of construction at the mine.

Oxus CEO Bill Trew said today that this was a momentous occasion in the life of Oxus. "This is an enormous accomplishment for the team at Amantaytau, who have worked tirelessly to bring this low-risk, low-cost project into production in record time. I would like to congratulate the team and our Uzbek partners on this significant achievement."
