Oxus has been notified pursuant to the provisions of Sections 198(1) and 208(4) (B) of the Companies Act 1985 in a letter dated 29 November 2004 that Wellington Management Company LLP now holds 10,041,100 ordinary shares representing 4.56 per cent. of the ordinary issued share capital of the Company.

Wellington Management Company LLP holds the shares in Oxus in its capacity as discretionary investment manager and the shares are registered in the name of various separate accounts or their custodians or nominees.
