Oxus has been notified pursuant to the provisions of Sections 198-202 of the Companies Act 1985 in a letter dated 8 December 2004 that following the purchase of 913,600 ordinary shares The Bank of New York Europe Limited now holds 12,954,016 ordinary shares in the Company. This represents approximately 5.23% of Oxus' total issued ordinary share capital.
