Oxus Gold plc ("Oxus" or "the Company") has been notified pursuant to the provisions of the Companies Act 1985 in a letter dated 15 February 2005 that on behalf of L-R Global Partners, L.P and L-R Global Fund Limited, holds 9,109,620 ordinary shares representing 3.47& of the ordinary issued share capital of the Company.
