Oxus Gold plc ("Oxus" or "the Company") has been notified pursuant to the provisions of the Companies Act 1985 in a letter dated 19th September 2005 that Asset Value Investors Limited, have reduced their shareholding and now hold 8,554,580 ordinary shares representing 2.98% of the ordinary issued share capital of (par value) the Company, which now stands at 287,036,821 ordinary shares.
